Our 90th anniversary commemorative book, The Value of Integrity, has been a great tool for connecting with people. I am proud to be a part of it and cannot imagine another professional business history so closely tied to the growth of Akron.
Initially, I did not realize the potential for utilizing our firm history for marketing. I was very proud, however, of what our commemorative book depicted about our firm and its relationship with the history of our great city, Akron. After sending the book to a few close contacts and business leaders I realized from their reactions that it was a fascinating story for anyone to read.
From this initial reaction, I decided to get serious about letting others share in this story. I sent out 100 copies to clients, family and friends. I received 52 immediate responses in the form of letters, e-mails and telephone calls. That was just the immediate response. I was in contact with people for nearly two weeks thereafter as they called to express their gratitude for having received a copy and to tell me how much they enjoyed the story that unfolded between the covers of the book. |
